Insurance for your eFoil Surfboard or Jetboard

Currently, electric surfboards and jetboards can be covered by a special liability insurance. Unlike in many other countries, liability insurance for eFoils and jetboards is currently not required by law in Germany. The same applies to boats. In countries like Italy, Denmark, Croatia, etc. this is different. If you take your eFoil or Jetboard with you on vacation, you should insure your board. In Germany you should also insure your board, otherwise you will be liable for damages to third parties (personal injury or material damage) with your private assets.

eFoils and Jetboards have to be registered and marked as boats from 2,21 kW (3 hp) (for more information see our FAQ page).
